The I&M Canal from I-55 to Buffalo Rock is open for snowmobiling. From Buffalo Rock to Utica is still closed due to a major washout that has not been fixed. 4 inches of snow must be on the trail to be open. I&M Canal Trail RulesNo Snowmobiling without 4" of snow on the trail.Stay on the marked trail.Reduce speed when going through towns.Do not trespass, do not liter.Stay away from private buildings.Keep the noise level down.Never remove or cut down fences, do not tamper with locked gates.Avoid small trees and shrubbery, etc.
