There's More To Snowmobiling Than Just Snowmobiling!
Snowmobilers are fun-loving people. Active snowmobile club members have even more fun because club membership enhances the fun of the sport. Most clubs have trails for you to enjoy, snowmobile trail rides, poker runs, snow games and other snowmobile riding events. Club members also enjoy the camaraderie that develops when a group of snowmobilers get together. Most clubs also hold dances, hayrides, picnics and other social events. One of the most important reasons to join a snowmobile club is trail riding opportunities. Most of the land in Illinois is privately owned. Snowmobile clubs obtain permission from the landowners to establish trails; this permission is usually limited to club members. Non-members are trespassing and may be prosecuted.
The IASC consists of approximately 100 snowmobile clubs throughout the State of Illinois and our association operates a membership referral service. Most of these clubs are accepting new members. We will supply you with information about the nearest IASC club upon request, simply use the INQUIRY & APPLICATION FORM. If there is no club nearby, we will be happy to assist you in forming a new club.
The IASC encourages your membership by joining an IASC club. You will be entitled to all club and IASC privileges, including a subscription to the "Illinois Snowmobiler."
Business Associate Memberships are available to snowmobile-related businesses. Individual Associate Memberships are also available.
