The SEP Meeting has been set for convention. The meeting will be held from 9am to 10:30am in the Meadows Room. If you need the address of the Holiday Inn it is:
Holiday Inn
3405 Algonquin Rd.
Rolling Meadows, IL 60008
Please remember to collect
the number of hours our volunteer Safety Instructors contribute in
delivering SEP services... planning, preparation, telephone, travel,
setup/teardown, and class instruction. Everything that goes into making your
classes the success they are ! If you would provide the total time for all
instructors with the class roster, this valuable data will be posted
along with the Safety Education Classes in the Illinois Snowmobiler.
IASC decided several months ago to send Illinois
Snowmobiler magazine for 1 year to all students taking the Snowmobile Safety
class. Please provide a student roster with mailing addresses to Jane Austin
at the IASC office in Marseilles so the program can be
implemented as classes progress.
International Snowmobile Safety Week is January 11-17,
2009.
It’s not to early to be planning to hold an event in
your region.
Information is available only online at ISMA http://www.snowmobile.org
If you are planning your event, let us know when, where and any details that
can be posted in the Illinois Snowmobiler and the IASC website.
If you, your club or region are interested in holding an event and need some
help getting started, give one of the SEP coordinators a call or send an
e-mail. We’ll be happy to share information. This is a great opportunity
for community outreach to both snowmobilers and non-snowmobilers, valuable
Press coverage to promote the sport of safe snowmobiling, showcasing your
clubs and activities to participants who don’t belong to a club. You may
inspire some new memberships !
